
📅 April 26–27, 2025 | 📍 Los Angeles, California — The Reading Glass Books (RGB) proudly participated in the 30th annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, the nation’s largest event dedicated to literature and culture, held at the University of Southern California (USC).
The festival unites acclaimed authors, rising talents, and avid readers in a vibrant celebration of storytelling. It serves as a central gathering place for readers, publishers, and industry experts, offering an extensive array of books, magazines, comics, educational resources, and more.
RGB showcased over 200 titles, representing diverse genres and perspectives. This participation marked a significant milestone for the independent publisher, providing a unique opportunity to connect directly with readers and industry professionals while celebrating the power of stories.
In preparation for the event, RGB released another edition of The Reading Glass Magazine featuring 230 titles and issued press announcements to generate excitement. Social media teasers highlighted upcoming author signings, book launches, and behind-the-scenes content, creating momentum ahead of the festival.
The two-day event welcomed more than 155,000 book lovers, authors, and exhibitors. Visitors explored the RGB booth, engaged with authors, and discovered a wide range of titles spanning children’s literature, fiction, nonfiction, and specialized works.
Author signings were a highlight of RGB’s participation. Nina Kelly signed “Athena the Brave,” “Athena, Tudor, and the Eagle,” “HoneyBee TreeHouse,” and “Leo Learns About Life.” John Kennedy presented “12 Simple Words,” while Maureen Anne Meehan signed “60 Dates in Six Months (with a Broken Neck).” Linda Plunkett, Karen Marchione, and Kennar Tawnee Chasny engaged attendees with their respective works, ranging from personal growth to suspenseful narratives.

On the second day, authors such as G.R. Dasher, David Pinkston, Tito A. Wroten, and others connected with readers, while authors Dr. Albert H. Yurvati, Bill Spies, and James B. Read were represented by their books in the booth.
Multiple book launches added to the excitement. Titles introduced included Dr. Yurvati’s “30 Degrees on Bypass,” Beverly C. Prince’s “The Cabala of the Cushite, Zephaniah,” Mark R. Rivard’s “The Power Potential” and “Golf 101,” David Pinkston’s “To Open One’s Eyes,” Marty Eigen’s “A Love Story for the Ages,” and several others covering spiritual, historical, and practical themes.

RGB also hosted live book selling, featuring popular and new releases such as Jay Sherfey’s “The Fox’s Tale,” Dr. Yurvati’s “Wet My Hands” and “This to Me,” John Kennedy’s “12 Simple Words,” Joyce H. Hynes’ “Heart of the Matter,” and many more. These sessions created an interactive platform for readers to discover new stories while engaging directly with authors.
Participating in the LA Times Festival of Books was a rewarding experience for The Reading Glass Books. The event showcased the diversity, depth, and reach of RGB’s catalog, reinforced connections with readers and authors, and highlighted the publisher’s role in amplifying unique voices.
