📅 September 11–15, 2024 | 📍 Manila, Philippines — The Reading Glass Books, together with Writers’ Branding, took part in the 2024 Manila International Book Fair at the SMX Convention Center Manila, reestablishing its footprint in one of Asia’s most influential publishing events.
Celebrated as the Philippines’ largest and longest-running book fair, MIBF continues to shape the country’s reading landscape by gathering publishers, educators, authors, and literary organizations under one roof.
The 2024 edition welcomed more than 130,000 visitors and presented over 50 literary and educational activities, creating a high-energy environment for discovery, dialogue, and industry collaboration.
In advance of the fair, RGB produced its Fourth Edition Catalog featuring more than 120 books and implemented coordinated publicity efforts, including press announcements and strategic online promotions to introduce featured works to the market.
Across five days, the RGB exhibit attracted a steady stream of readers, teachers, fellow exhibitors, and publishing professionals who engaged with the collection and explored new and established voices within the catalog.

The convention floor carried a lively atmosphere marked by strong attendance, active programming, and meaningful exchanges that underscored the continued growth of the Philippine book industry.
Several featured authors were represented through official book launches despite being unable to attend personally, allowing their titles to gain international exposure during the event.
Laura Dougherty’s “Dogs, Owners of the City” and “Pandemia and I,” alongside their Spanish editions “Los Dueños De La Ciudad” and “La Pandemia Y Yo,” resonated with readers drawn to themes of resilience and companionship. While Carol Ruth Silver’s “Freedom Rider Diary: Smuggled Notes from Parchman Prison” generated interest among history readers seeking insight into the American Civil Rights era.
Dr. Albert H. Yurvati’s memoir titles “Wet My Hands” and “This to Me,” together with their Spanish translations “Mojarme Las Manos” and “Esto para MĂ,” engaged audiences interested in reflection and personal narrative.

Additional works that drew attention included Morreece Elaine Cook’s “My Spirituality of Nature,” Giulio Veglio’s leadership-focused books, W Kpangbala Sengbe’s “I Arrived Later… So What?,” Soul Singh’s “Thank You for Smiling,” and Richard Mahee’s “In The Name of LIBERTY AND DEMOCRACY,” each contributing to diverse thematic conversations.
The Reading Glass Books expresses appreciation to the Manila International Book Fair organizers, participating authors, and the thousands of attendees who visited the exhibit.
