
📅 April 20–21, 2024 | 📍 Los Angeles, California — The Reading Glass Books (RGB ), in partnership with Writers’ Branding, exhibited at the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California (USC), Booth #959 in the Black Zone.
The annual festival draws thousands of literary enthusiasts to USC for a weekend filled with author panels, book signings, live discussions, independent publishers, and cultural programming.
Leading up to the event, RGB coordinated logistics for participating authors, maintained consistent digital updates, and provided exhibitor guidance to ensure a seamless and professional presence throughout the weekend.
Promotional initiatives included the release of The Reading Glass Magazine Fifth Edition, distribution of a press article to more than 200 media outlets, and an email campaign reaching over 10,000 newsletter subscribers.
During the two-day festival, the RGB booth attracted students, professionals, and avid readers who explored a diverse catalog of titles across memoir, children’s literature, poetry, inspirational works, and contemporary narratives.

In-person signings and launches featured Dr. Albert H. Yurvati with “Wet My Hands” and “This to Me,” Kennar Tawnee Chasny with “Ting! The Silent Warning” and “Carlton: Down Sized,” Sharon Romero with “Poetry of a Life,” and Jan Atkinson with “Victor and the Tactibbarlemac” and “Menopausal Killer Sharks.”
Maureen Anne Meehan connected with attendees through “60 Dates in Six Months (with a Broken Neck),” while Dr. Sandy Islands presented titles including “A Ripple in Time,” “Be The Light Thoughts for the Day,” and selections from her children’s series.

Additional authors were represented through featured displays and launches, including Dr. Rachel Wellner’s “Doctoroo Series,” Capt. Manny Sousa’s “Passing Through: Exploring the Envelope,” Dorothy Fickenscher’s “The Right to a Full Life,” and L.B. Wells’ “The White Coat Effect.”
The booth also welcomed visiting authors such as John Jackson, Gwynette Ford Lacy, William Stephenson, Nancy Benson, Laine Faro, and Nealie Miller, reinforcing professional relationships and creative collaboration.
From New Jersey to Los Angeles, The Reading Glass Books continues to expand its reach while remaining committed to thoughtful storytelling and author advocacy. The festival weekend underscored the importance of in-person literary engagement and provided a national platform for independent authors to connect directly with new audiences.
